The South Pacific Star Party is put on each year by the Astronomical Society of NSW http://www.asnsw.com/. The venue is "Wiruna" near Ilford - about 230 km northwest of Sydney. Wiruna is blessed with VERY dark skies and about 300 people attend each year.
