Since I'm doing this in one pour, the form needs to be secured to the ground so it doesn't lift when the concrete is poured into the column. Two beams run across the top of the form and each is secured to 4 star posts.

I also threw in some rebar and mesh.

The holes on either side will facilitate agitating the concrete to reduce the chance of voids in the footing. They will be covered before the column is poured.
