The Swan Nebula (aka Omega Nebula) lies approximately 5,500 light-years away in the constellation Sagittarius. It is a rich star forming region spanning about 40 light years.

This is a 10 hour SHO palette (SiiHaOiii) image (240, 240, 120 mins) using 30 minute subs for SII, Ha and OIII and using RGB stars.
