Japan: Tokyo Lights

Finding your way around in Tokyo is not for the faint hearted. Each of these buildings have about 8 floors and restaurants etc could be on any floor and you can tell from the lit signs .... that is if you can read Japanese. Add to this the fact that people rarely use street names but instead tell you to leave the station by the north exit, turn right at the post office and left at the second convenience store etc. The thing is that there are a lot of exits at the train stations... Shinjuku where our hotel was had 60 exits.

you know, they say that men prefer to have directions in the form of an address and by street signs, but that women prefer to be told directions in the form of landmarks--similar in fashion to the way directions were given in your experience. you don't find this to be true huh? :)

the city lights are amazing no? it's the look of asia in general to me... lit signs everywhere... i wonder how any particular one of them manages to win over your attention, after awhile you'd just drown it out.
