7 July
Grrr!

First I want to say a big thank you for the messages of concern and support. They are all much appreciated.
Fortunately I was already at work by the time the terror struck but it wasn't much fun watching the events unfold on CNN at work. Firstly the story of a power surge (couldn't see how that could be) and then the horrible truth. Once I knew that all my team and family were ok I felt a little easier but it's hard not to think of the people who weren't so lucky. So, am I scared.... no. I've lived through London bombing campaigns before and I feel angry more than anything - I'll be at work as normal tomorrow...but I guess I'll be watching my fellow passengers a little more closely than I normally would!

and the shoes......these aren't exactly walking shoes but that's what they had to be tonight because along with thousands of others I had to walk home the 6.2miles from work! It took 1 hour and 40 minutes - not bad eh?!

Gail...so glad you are okay. I was thinking of you, especially after seeing your images you take from the bus. Well thought out PaD.

Gail, I have thought about you, knowing your daily commute. So glad to hear all is well with you and yours, though saddened at loss of life by such a senseless action. How tragic to those families affected.

6.2 miles is quite a hike but ... 15 min miles, impressive. ;) Take care.

So good to hear all is well Gayle. Have been watching now for twenty four hours & my admiration grows for the folks on how they've handled this. I know you have all faced bombs before & you have every right to feel both mad & sad, but your all so brave with a no nonsense approach.
Take care & I wish you well.

We are really happy to hear that you are ok Gail. Our hearts and thoughts are to all Londoners and mostly to those who killed so tragically..
I think that always innocent people pay the wrongs and mistakes of governments!

I was certainly thinking of you today, Gail - I had the feeling your route home would be by foot but of course I had no idea about how you faired earlier. Take Care.
