Bye Bye.

I've given away one of my old cameras; I never thought I'd see the day. Not only that but it was the Ixus APS. I loved that camera - it met all the criteria for being a loved possession - it was small, beautiful, a gadget and, best of all, it was shiny. But now it's gone. I gave it to my small niece Amy. I'm sure she'll enjoy using it (and I doubt I'd use it again) and I'm sure she'll take good care of it.... sob.

Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel

I like the DOF on this image. I've never owned an APS camera but I have quite a few rolls of 35mm film in a drawer which I DO mean to use but they're rapidly becoming out of date!

Nice way to capture a historic moment. I also like the reflection.

Ahhhh.... The pain of parting with things. I think that you, like me, are a hoarder. Only you have the courage to part with things!

Hummm, this from an archeological dig? ;) It is amazing how much and how quickly things have changes in photography. Your old camera will make a great starter camera for your niece.

That's a strange looking memory card. I must admit I do still love shooting film. I think it's the anticipation of getting the photos back.

You'll have to keep that, it'll be an antique in years to come!

I quickly realised I'd never shoot a film again. Though film camera prices are so tempting on Ebay, but then the realisation of the processing comes back. Digital is the answer !
