Morelia: Film Crew

When we arrived in Morelia, hot and sweaty after a long bus ride, we found this van outside our hotel with vast numbers of cables going into the hotel. At first we thought it was building works but as we entered we realised it was a film crew. We checked in and while we were doing so a member of the crew spoke to the check-in staff. "They've asked if you'll be in the film" they said to us. I thought Jeremy is bound to say no so I left it up to him and... you guessed it... he said yes. We had to play the part of.... two tourists checking in. We spoke hardly any Spanish and the person playing the check-in clerk knew no English but we both had training so that we could speak in one another's language. We had to check-in and then go with the bell-boy. Five takes later we were told it was 'a wrap' and told - in a jokey way, that when the music came on we all had to dance. I clearly said - NO WAY. But the music came on and...... I danced. We were so thrown we didn't even ask what the film was for but on another leg of our trip we bumped into the crew again and they told us it was for the state tourist video and asked us to sign an international model release form. Hope it never gets shown in the UK
