11 January 2009

When we got home from my parent's, the house was cold and the birdbath was frozen. We sorted out the house first and then Jeremy went out this morning to sort out the birdbath, and appeared at the door with this. Despite the perishing cold I made him stay there and hold it up for me while I ran upstairs to grab my camera and came back to take the photograph ... (no husbands were harmed in the taking of this photograph ... well, maybe a little, but not too much hehe.)

That is what husbands are there for! At first I thought, ah, you threw him into a swimming pool and made him stick his hand out some hole in the ice. I wonder, do the birds enjoy bathing in this weather?

Awesome shot ! Like others I though you'd somehow taken it underwater. And like other PBase spouses/kids/family I'm sure J is used to hearing "oh, just stand there while I get the camera !" LOL!

Like Glen I thought it was an underwater shot - and tell Jeremy that what doesn't kill him only makes him 'arder :-D

This is awesome. It wasn't until I was reading your explanation that I realized this wasn't an underwater shot. . .

Great shot, Gail! Without the description, I would have been baffled; and even so, very intriguing. V

What a fabulous shot! Great credit to Jeremy for finding it and having the patience to wait for the camera creation! I thought from the thumb that you had found a new way to still (or freeze :>)) the action of whirly moving water.
