Jellyfish Primrose is the new common name I have given this Elegant Clarkia, a member of the Evening Primrose family.

One of the many wildflowers on Mt. Diablo, taken on the Shell Ridge Loop, East Bay Regional Park, Walnut Creek while out riding my horse.
