Dance Recital
by Josh Hed

Prior to attending my daughter's dance recital, I had never ventured into ISO 400 land.
My external flash was doing nothing for me and it looked like movies were all I would get from the event.
I was truly amazed how well the images turned out with very little light at ISO 400.
Granted, at 100% they are hideous, but after a quick pass through Neat Image and a resize for the web, Presto!
Better images than I could have hoped for, given the conditions.
ISO 400 IS an option for me after all.

Good job Josh. I was using IS) 200 last night at graduation ceremonies with similar results.

Nice shot, I've found ISO 400 to be quite usable indoors on many occasions. Increasing exposure a stop or two and using manual white balance/gray card decreases the noise and always gives a nice printable shot.
