Christmas Lights

I have found it is best to not wait for full dark to capture Christmas lights. Rather start about dusk. This enables you to capture good color and avoid too long exposures.

Yes this photo shows a more of a realistic view of the scene as you would remember it if you were looking at it yourself. The roof, grass & trees all show their detail & colours which would be lost if the photo was taken at night.

Very nice. The light from the sky helps establish the setting .....roof, trees, curbing, etc.
