Hey Jack. The result of the "HDR treatment" left some pretty heavy color pixelation along the jaw line and in the mane. I ran Neat Image on it with the auto profile option which yielded some significant noise reduction and softening of the image. I really liked the result. Thanks again for the comments.

I've used the process I asked about starting with RAW and then Photomatix. I didn't realize such impressive results could be obtained from JPEG. Also like that you used the HDR technique to produce a natural result, rather than some of the surreal images I've seen when the process is pushed too far.

Hey Jack. Thanks for the comment. Actually, I started with just a single JPG and then used an application called Dynamic Photo HDR to do some tone mapping.

Hi, Josh. By pseudo HDR, do you mean you started with one camera RAW and bracketted using software and combined resulting images. The result is great, right down to hair on chinny, chin, chin.
