Two nitromethane powered dragsters take evening qualifying runs at Sears Point (Infineon) Raceway near Sonoma, California
With under 4 seconds from start to finish, and going from 0 to 300+ mph in that time, it's quite a project to get these shots decently as light falls and shutter speeds get slow.
One nice plus is that it blurs all the photographers who are always in the way (what do they do with all those photos anyway?)
