Oreille de Judas (Auricularia auricula-judae). It seems this mushroom is the "Black mushroom" found in the Chinese's restaurants. It can be found with different shapes but always with this colour and this velvet aspect. There was only one and with a good background.

What a bazaare looking fungi! Is that the black strips of stuff in wonton soup? Great catch and quite a fascinating specimen. Linda
