Used the built-in flash to compensate for the dark restaurant interiors as compared to the blazing desert sun outside!

I agree, you did a fabulous job. The camera flash appears to be hidden by the cross bar of the window. I'm just amazed at how well both near and far are so well exposed. Its a lovely picture.

Very nice Glifford. I love how did you use fill-flash and surprisingly even built-in falsh did not give any ugly reflection on the window glass.
