Nice one, Linda! The rule of thirds surely works for this one! I love the gnarl of driftwood also. The soft colors make the wood very stark and provides a nice 'surprise!'

Thanks for all your comments. The rule of thirds has really made a difference for me. I got so many compliments on the whole gallery at the beach for composition. Diagonals always work well too. I've learned so much from this group. Linda Stock
