Glifford

Bahrain

This is the Imposing Tower of a Building called the "Bait-al-Quran" that I can see right out out of my Bedroom Window.

Meaning "House of the Quran" in Arabic, this museum building is a collection of ancient Arabic/Islamic manuscripts. It also showcases some excellent examples of Arabic Calligraphy.

Although it is at the footstep of my building, I have never made a visit there. It is an imposing modern structure of sandstone, and has arabic text written all over its periphery. I plan to visit that place atleast this week.

I took this pic in Program mode, as I returned from dinner one evening, when only the tower was illuminated.

Nice shot Glifford, I like the "glowing" effect of the tower and building and the palm tree as a foreground.
