Beautiful shot. I wonder if the bud was compressed against something when it was forming. I think its a Gerbera Daisy? Was it a compact clump of a plant with straight thick stems to each flower?

Cityfish, You are right it is strange. It appears that the one next to it is more normal, could it just be a mutant!!!!!
