I had some wasps build a tan coloured nest on a piece of balcony furniture last year.
They looked very much like Vespula flavopilosa. I have a specimen that I saved when they abandoned the nest last fall. Is there someone around that is knowledgeable enough to identify it? I just want to learn more about them. They were very diurnal in nature and harmless. Your help is appreciated.
