  Eastern chipmunk  (Tamias striatus)
    Chipmunks, like other wildlife, store food for the coming winter. The squirrels (chipmunks, red and grey squirrels) are very noticeably busy, gathering food. The acorn crop this year seems to have been especially good, so there are lots of nuts for these guys and other wildlife.
