A month later, the hole looks much the same. In this photo of the whole area, the red osier dogwood is at the right edge. The gray stick is new - Lynn added these to provide a standard orientation for measuring diameters; the gray stick is due north of the black one, so we measure diameter in that direction and also perpendicular to that direction. You can see how the whole area has merged with the path, and the bare area with moss from the previous panoramic sequence is front and centre.
