Hypena opulenta moth caterpillar, early instar

This is a copyright free image provided to us for use on this gallery to show what the Hypena moth caterpillar looks like. Leaf-eating Hypena caterpillars are one means of potential bio-control of Vincetoxicum rossicum, Dog-strangling Vine. This is a single DSV leaf and one of the early instar caterpillars has been circled. You can see how tiny they are, and how difficult it would be to see them on a leaf.
