Great manna grass (Glyceria maxima)

Reed canary grass can also be seen here (the paler flowers). This is a tall, very pretty, non-native species, considered quite invasive. It grows in the Arboretum, adjacent to the Fletcher Wildlife Garden, so we knew it was only a matter of time before it appeared. And it did. First at the amphibian pond, and later, along the edge of the stream in the ravine.
