Once the seedpods have released their seeds, the fluff can be found in thick swathes beneath the plants, as well as floating across the land. The seeds don't necessarily travel great distances on the wind, but enough to help the plant spread further afield. Seeds can also get stuck on birds and mammals, including humans, ensuring colonization of new sites when they drop off.
