Hover fly (Eristalis flavipes)

This is a fine bumblebee mimic. If you didn't notice the short antennae and the two wings spread out, you would likely pass it off as a bumblebee. I have to remind myself to stop and look at any bombus species that looks just a wee bit 'odd'!
