Dan Brunton has been an OFNC president, and in the past chaired both the club's Birds Committee and Awards Committee. He is the unofficial club historian, quite a task given the age of the club (est. in 1879). He is also well known as an environmental consultant and author of numerous papers on botanical subjects.
