Variegated lady beetle (Hippodamia variegata)

This is another introduced (non-native) lady beetle which is used for control of aphids. Although regarded as fairly common, I haven't seen many of these at FWG. However, it is very small, much smaller than the more familiar Asian lady beetle. While photographing these two I saw several others nearby.
