I tried to follow the tutorial on high key but found my psp coudnt offer me the same levels or functions. Some of the tips were helpful though in what to watch for on hair and features. I started experimenting with a recent photo of my niece Laura and new baby that I had converted to an oil format. I found that by using the PSP Retouch too for dodging didnt allow me a smooth finish and was rather spotty. I did find that by using the lighten to target tool after first dodge I was able to find a balance that I could use over the faces of both subjects to get near where I wanted it. I used burn tool on very low opacity (2-4) for eybrows, eyelashes and fine lines I wanted to enhance and also the darken RGB on same retouch bar at varying opacities to darken shadow areas on face and cheek line, baby clothing etc. I used soften tool when burns seemd a bit sharp also. I didnt try to do a perfect job cause it took me so many efforts to find one that seems to be on the right path and Im eager to experiment more, now that I have an idea of how I got to this point. Ive been curious how I could accomplish similar effects in my JASC and am glad I stumbled onto the subject on site here. If anyone else has tips on this using psp, please feel free to pass them on to me. Its something I want to master and I could use a sound basis for the work vs my usual trial and error. thanks kenny
