Sunflower with a Twist

original sunflower photo by Kim Randolph Photo Art Challenge 076: Sunflower Field innographx. Kim Randolph retains the U.S. and international copyright © not only for the original image, but also for any photo-art versions of it such as this. Innographx photo project 076 sunflower field. I created a duplicate image , then used Sepia effect in my PSP, layered it back with original and erased down to the original color layer for the foreground flower. I merged it and then applied the curly effect to taste using 7 collums as choice and experimenting to get the amount of distortion I wanted. I then converted it to a light oil effect for some texture, clarified, did some softening on jpg artifacts then speck reduction a bit and called it quits there. I could have done more clean up but for overall effect as sample was satisfied to stop there. I then used the same process to play with some of my own flower photos and loved how they came out so the process of discovery here led me to some nice renditions of my own flowers.

Good use of the liquify tool. I could stand to see even more curlies in there to add to the artistic side.
