I just love the virtual tour. My grandmother had a footstool. She always heard it was Martha Washington's stool. She had it authenticated at the Smithsonian and it was Mrs. Washington's. I have not been there for 15 years. The stool was always in Nellie Custis' bedroom. Because of your virtual tour, I found it in the music room. I am coming down with my sister and 1st cousin sometime in May. Neither one of them have been to Mt Vernon. I am thrilled that we can visit this wonderful historic home and also see the footstool. Thank you Helen Harlan Smith.
