My daughter and son-in-law know a lot of people ... they invited me come along for cocktails with them at Gracie Mansion and meet the Mayor. He chooses not to live here like most of the past 8 mayors of New York City, but he does a lot of official entertaining here.

The mansion has been beautifully restored by artisans. One of the most stunning features is the black and white faux marble floor in one of the foyers. It really is hard to tell that it's not marble!
