Let's start with the Hirshhorn Museum. The Smithsonian's museum of international modern and contemporary art includes a collection of modern painting and sculpture.

As most of the museums it's free and photography is allowed for the permanent collection.

The zoo is under many works, few animals to see. It should be better in 2012-2013 when the work is done. For the moment the only must are the giant Pandas, lent by China.

Seemingly one of those very rare animals is pregant. They told us so in the news.

The Phillips Collection, one of the rare museums whose visit is not free. Totally worth the $ 12 entrance.

The Rothko room, designed in collaboration with Mark Rothko himself, almost a chapel, and certainly a pilgrimage for me.

The famous Renoir that is the other highlight of the Phillips Collection, although most of the museum paintings are masterpieces.

(I missed one Nicolas de Stael that I believe is travelling - I saw it in Martigny at the Giannada museum!).

End of visit, begin the training in the Bolger Center near Potomac. For the next week I did not go out of this compound.
