It's been a busy few days around here, so I'm just now getting to add a little something to these photos.
We had the distinct honor or meeting up with the Larkin family http://www.pbase.com/jjlarkin39/pad
for dinner tonight. They made the trek from their hometown about 5 hours east of here to visit the
great city of Chicago. They had never been to Chicago, so we had many things in common. I've lived
in northern Illinois my entire 37 year life and I still haven't seen some of the things that they
got to do in the last 4 days. I was just never really all that interested in going there.
I'm not a big city kind of guy.
The Larkins, are. I think that other than dealing with the big city crowds, they had a great time.
We met for dinner at a place called Graziano's in Niles, IL. I picked it because it wasn't too far
from their hotel, and I figured Jim's new GPS could find it easy enough. =)
The food was good, but the company was great. We had such a nice time finally sitting face to face
with our pbase extended family, that we ended up sitting there for a few hours, just chatting the
night away, while the kids played like little kids do, along side the table.
We decided that we had occupied the table long enough, so Mr. Larkin ever-so-kindly picked up the
check and invited us back to their hotel so that the kids could swim in the pool. The kids swam
and played like they had been friends forever. Ian really liked Hannah and Hailey,
and I'm sure he will miss them.
When 3 small children frown when they see you approach with the camera, it's never a good thing.
I took the bold approach and assured them that it was only one picture. Now that's some serious
pressure. I have three irritated models that have agreed to one photo, so I'd better nail it in one shot.
BAM!
Got it. =)
I started a gallery for the shots I took when we were together.
