Ian got very sick over the weekend. He was coughing until he threw up.
We give him medicine for the coughing, and he throws up.
Six of one, one half dozen of the other. Either way, he's throwing up.
So, now he's dehydrated, no nutrition in his little belly, and he's coughing even worse.
Sunday, mommy takes him into the ER at noon.
At 9:45pm, they finally admit him and get him an isolation room...he's got RSV. Not good.
For info on RSV, go here http://www.rsvprotection.com.
It's basically really nasty bronchilitus.
So he was on fluids and antibiotics all night and today. He's got to stay one more day.
He's also getting these breathing treatments every few hours to help him cough this crud up.
Mommy is staying with him, he's in the very best hands.
UPDATE Tuesday 6:30pm: He's gotten worse, and has either progressed to double pneumonia, or he was mis-diagnosed for the 3rd time.
So he has to stay at least one more day. I'm not sure he will come home tomorrow as his fever spiked again today to 101.5, after being 98.7 earlier this afternoon.
Poor little guy. I want him to come home so bad, but I guess he is better off there where he's receiving around the clock professional care.
