I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with family and friends. That's what it's all about,
being together. We had a very scaled back Christmas this year, and it was one of the best ever.
When you remember that as far as presents are concerned, it's all about the kids and their
belief in Santa, it becomes far less stressful and makes it so much more enjoyable.
Despite all that is wrong in the world today, and any problems you might be going thru right
now, there is NOTHING like seeing your children's faces when they see that Santa has put them
on his nice list and brought them presents. Even if it was only 2 or 3 things. You see that
smile, and forget all the stresses that the world has put upon you. Children have a wonderful
way of doing that to you.
Last night, we're watching Christmas Story, and Ian says to me..."...dad, if you see Santa
tonight, could you tell him, thank you?"
I damn near broke into tears right there. I gave him a big hug and told him that Santa usually
sneaks in when even parents aren't looking. But if I did see him, I would be SURE to let him know.
Santa...you rock.
