Ian decided he wanted to join Cub Scouts this year. Ok, so all this Cub Scouts stuff is new to
me. I was never a Cub Scout, so I'm learning as we go along. As it turns out, there's quite a
bit of work to do as parents of a Cub Scout. So far, he's learning about tools so that he can
get ready to built a wood project and eventually a pinewood derby car. So I'm planning on
sitting down with him to show him how to use the tools he may need to employ to work on either
of those two projects.
This past Thursday, Ian was presented with his Bobcat Badge. In order to qualify for his Bobcat
Badge, he was required to learn the Cub Scout motto, promise and law, and handshake. He was
also forced to drink Tiger blood. Ok, not real tiger blood, more like Hawaian Punch. But
anyways... :)
We're very proud of him for wanting to join scouting and look forward to many badges to come.
