Three Part Thursday: Part 2 - Ian's Big Part

If you are reading this before part one, please head back to part 1 and start there.

Soooo...the head of the PTO comes out and gives their little introductions to the night and the big push for fundraising. It's a tough economy out there, but we still try and support the schools whenever we can. They finish up the speech and get the play started with a jaunty little musical number. I notice Ian waaaaaay in the back, seeming very laid back and kinda casual about the whole supporting role.

As the kids progress thru the play, there are a main cast of maybe 8-10 primary characters, and the rest of the cast rotates up to the mic to add their contribution to the production. Some are little one liners, and others are just funny movements with noise. Great stuff.

As Ian progresses closer and closer to the mic, he gets more and more enthusiastic with his singing and participation in the animated hand gestures. We have the whole play on video too, and good thing, as I was so concentrated on getting a decent shot of him on stage, I didn't hear his lines. There's some other stuff on the tape that we're DYING to hear. More on THAT later.

I'm telling you the boy has got a lot talent. Just the way he was pitching the tomato planter to me one time. Just needs a little more confidences.

Fantastic image! He's becoming quite the entertainer!
