One of my ancestors from the French side, Frimponge Ourson,
was very familiar with the great painter Matisse.
Monsieur Henri used to ask his opinion when he was painting,
because Frimponge was a talented artist too, even though neglected....
Frimponge Ourson was also portrayed by Mr. Matisse
in the original version of one of his most known self-portraits,
as you can see.
