Juodkrante (former Schwarzort or Schattenort)
is another fishermen village on the Curonian Spit.
Juodkrante was mentioned for the first time in the tax records in 1429.
In the 19th century Juodkrante became a growing resort
and small fishermen houses were changed into nice villas.
I'm posing here by a cottage "Villa Flora",
which was built in 1863 by the owner of the amber excavation company, M. Becker.
The post office was situated in it from 1923 until 1938.
