It is hard to imagine so many crosses in one place.
But all these crosses tell us about personal and public misfortunes and catastrophes.
For example one cross was put after the wreck of the ferry “Estonia”.
And they also tell us about success stories, about dreams that came true.
In most of the cases, people put their crosses on the hill
when they want to express gratitude for the good things that happened in their lifes.
Therefore Lithuanians think of the Hill of Crosses as something bright and good.
