Abraham Lincoln is known as the Great Emancipator,
for having freed the slaves during the Civil War, the war between the states.
And it was from these steps, in 1963,
that Martin Luther King, Jr., gave his "I Have A Dream" speech
to 200,000 people assembled on the Mall.
