So this is Yugorsk!

Yugorsk ( Siberia)

This is the town of Yugorsk in Tumen region.
Quite a small one (30000 habitants).
It is not far away from the Polar circle.
There are chances to see Aurora borealis in winter there
(Sergey told me he've seen it once).
It was founded in 1962 (actually the town and Sergey are of the same age), and at the beginning it was a town of woodcutters.
Then in 1970's they started to build and serve underground high capacity gas pipes.
And now this is the main business of the town.
Taiga (the typical Siberian forest) is all around it.. Hundreds kilometers of forest and marsh.
By the way, until recent times there were no decent roads from there to the center.
One of the consequnces of the situation was absolute absence of car stealing :)

I, like Isabel, expected Siberia to be so different.
I thought you would be in a little snowsuit, Frrimpong.
Imagined cold weather and lots of snow!

Looks like an absolutely pleasant town with some interesting architecture. Do show us more.

I see also that you've taught Frimpong to sit on his knees. I didn't know he could do that!

Not how I would picture Siberia. This town is very colorful!
