This is the town of Yugorsk in Tumen region.
Quite a small one (30000 habitants).
It is not far away from the Polar circle.
There are chances to see Aurora borealis in winter there
(Sergey told me he've seen it once).
It was founded in 1962 (actually the town and Sergey are of the same age), and at the beginning it was a town of woodcutters.
Then in 1970's they started to build and serve underground high capacity gas pipes.
And now this is the main business of the town.
Taiga (the typical Siberian forest) is all around it.. Hundreds kilometers of forest and marsh.
By the way, until recent times there were no decent roads from there to the center.
One of the consequnces of the situation was absolute absence of car stealing :)
