On our back you can see the famous Sighs Bridge.
The Sighs Bridge has nothing to do with romantic and passionate sighs of lovers,
even though some people might think like that…
Actually it was the covered bridge that led from the court to the prison
and the judged prisoners could see Venezia from the small windows of the bridge
for the last time, before getting locked into their very little cosy cell.
So they were supposed to sigh with regret and sorrow,
walking through this marvellous, small covered bridge.
Many people had this distressing and glooming experience,
among them Giacomo Casanova.
