Frimpong in Jerusalem

Jerusalem - Israel

Jerusalem is like no other city on earth. It is holy to the world's three major monotheistic religions, and was fought over for three millennia by a variety of peoples and nations. Jerusalem is the capital of the State of Israel.
Today Ilan has been so kind to take me to visit a little this impressive town, what an experience!
Jerusalem is a city of many faces. With a population of 630,000, it is a richly heterogeneous city, representing a wide range of national, religious, and socioeconomic groups.
You can see, in the background, one of the holiest places to Islam (third one after Mecca and Madina) and one of the more impressive examples of ancient Islamic architecture and art is the Dome of the Rock. The mosque was built between 688 to 691 CE and was rebuilt and renovated numerous times over the years.
The dome, covered these days with gilded aluminum plates, was originally covered with real gold

Frimpong, I think I can see that you are meditating on the centuries of history before your eyes. It's an awe-inspiring and magical and spiritual place, isn't it? You are indeed looking pensive......

Frimpong, Duck quick before you get hit by a rock. Glad to see you enjoyed your time in Israel.
