It was beautiful spring weather though there was a
cool breeze on Saturday ( you'll be delighted to know I have become used to upside down seasons by now and I can call September "spring").
There were some elderly ladies playing croquet when we got back to Te Aroha.
I'd asked one of them about the game and my
head spun as she explained how doubles are played.
By the time she'd "roqueted", "croqueted", "baulked" and a used a dozen other strange terms
I'm completely lost.
I'd better pay attention just in case she get's some ideas about using that mallet!
