The characteristic of Bagno Vignoni, in addition to the thermal waters, is its structure, remained unchanged over the centuries. The main town square is not like in many other towns as one can imagine, but it is made of steaming hot water, flowing at 52 degrees Celsius.
The rectangular basin of thermal water is at the heart of the square, enclosed on three sides by a boundary wall about five feet high.
