Roberto told me that these arcades along the northern side of the main square of Arezzo are called “ Logge Vasari” from the name of the architect who designed them.

Giorgio Vasari, the architect I’m speaking of, was born here in Arezzo in 1511 and he’s especially well known also for being the biographer of many Italian artists.

Most of what we know nowadays about the life of those famous painters and sculptors and architects is due to Vasari’s books.

But I must confess to you that what attracted me in a special way under this porch is the big barrel...
I feel thirsty, they must have wine here!
