The Autograph Tree at Coole Park is an ancient copper beech tree on which the likes of W.B. Yeats and George Bernard Shaw carved their initials.
Coole Park sheltered many brilliant literary minds at the turn of the last century and was the spot where a revival of interest in ancient Gaelic literature and language was ignited.
