After feeling highly adventurous one afternoon, Milos, two other friends and yours truly decided to visit Dubrovnik (Croatia) and have a cup of coffee there.
It was supposed to be a surprise for me to show me another country.
We spent 3 hours on the Croatian border and after informing the custom officers that we would have liked to have a cup of coffee in Dubrovnik, they informed us that our credit cards were not sufficient and that we needed nearly 500 euros in cash money to pass the border so we were instructed to go back.
I was the only one who would have been allowed to cross the border, having a British (European community) passport, while my friends had a Serbian passports, but I would never have gone to Croatia without them.
So the sign "Welcome to Croatia" was all we saw, and we feel that we weren't welcome enough.
I hope one day to be invited to visit Croatia and that Milos could join me there for this postponed coffee.
