This gallery is being built with photos of Joëlle, a mask in the 2008 Venice Carnevale. I took two students to Carnevale and Joëlle was amazingly friendly and kind to both of them. I so appreciate her heart and her spirit. Thank you Joëlle.

Merci John pour ce que tu as écrit, je suis infiniment touchée.
Nos discussions sur la symbolique des masques étaient passionnantes. Mais, je pense que tu avais déjà tout compris. La preuve cette photo que tu as choisi pour illustrer ton commentaire : la main tendue qui illustre parfaitement ton propos et semble dire, venez à moi. J'ai beaucoup aimé July et david, si brillants et si timides tous les deux.
Comme promis, je t'écris en français, car je sais que tu aimes infiniment notre langue.
